The Honeywell MX9 mobile computer uses the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Professional operating system and is powered by a PXA320 800MHz processor. It has 128MB of SDRAM, 128MB of flash memory and an SD expansion card expandable up to 4GB.



This device has a 6-foot drop specification and IP67 rating, which means it can withstand drops of up to six feet onto concrete, as well as the ability to withstand 2,000 falls from one metre. The Honeywell MX9 operates in temperatures as low as -4°F and as high as 122°F. The handheld also has a built-in heater (optional), a superior resistive touch screen 3.7″ display and a backlit keyboard, making it ready for extreme environments.



This durability is expertly combined with functionality, as this device has a wide range of wired and wireless features, including WWAN radio with GSSM/GPRSI/EDGE, 802.11a/b/g with WPA/WPA2 security and Cisco CCXv4 certification, Bluetooth and GPS. There are two backlit keyboard options - a 62-key alphanumeric keyboard and a 38-key keyboard. Data capture methods include a microphone, standard range laser, all-range laser that can scan distances from 4 inches to 40 feet, 2-dimensional imager and VGA image capture, all with full symbology support.
