Monsters in Tokyo: Power Up! The top-up is an add-on to Monsters in Tokyo, the cult board game by Richard Garfield, the author of such collectible titles as Android: Netrunner and Magic: The Gathering. Power Up! introduces a new character, the giant pandakai, as well as the Evolution system, thanks to which the monsters we lead will gain unique abilities! Each monster will receive 8 dedicated Evolution cards, which they will be able to get during the game and destroy their opponents more effectively!

Pandakai has joined the fight for the capital of Japan! To defeat her, all monsters were given a set of eight Evolution cards! When a player completes rolls with at least three Heart symbols during their turn, they receive one random Evolution from their stack. Evolutions are special abilities unique to a creature that will help you destroy its opponents more effectively. They are divided into disposable and permanent and remain a mystery until they are used.
Evolutionary Draft
Once you've learned all the Evolutions by heart, it's a good idea to use the Evolution Draft! This is a special variant of the game where you will be able to use Evolutions belonging to different monsters! Shuffle your Evolution cards first, then give eight of them to everyone. Each of you chooses one Evolution and passes the rest to the player on the left. Then he chooses again, he passes on again, and he chooses again, and in this way, each of you will create your own unique set of eight Evolutions!
