The PREMIUM series is characterized by excellent cable workmanship, using high-quality materials in their production, and gold plating of the HDMI connectors was applied in the last stage of the manufacturing process. The cable is covered along its entire length with a protective braid that ensures high resistance to bends, compressions, and other mechanical damages. HDMI allows for the connection of any compliant audio/video devices such as DVD players, Blu-ray players, game consoles, computers, monitors, and digital televisions. Video data is transmitted using TMDS technology. The most important feature of the HDMI interface developed between 2000-2002 is that it enables connection between individual audio/video devices using a single cable while maintaining the highest quality of transmitted picture and sound, as well as full functionality of the used devices, which significantly facilitates the cabling of the home audio/video system. This is a huge simplification compared to previous connections that required a wide variety of different cables. The technology is characterized by high image and sound quality, as well as the ability to transmit images in very high resolution. HDMI network channel with Ethernet (HEC) The HDMI 1.4 specification added a new data channel to the HDMI protocol that enables fast two-way communication. Devices equipped with this functionality can send and receive data through the Ethernet network at a speed of 100 Mb/s. As part of the new functionality, it is possible to use applications utilizing device IP. It is enough for one home theater device to be connected to the home router, and all other devices equipped with network features (BD Live 2.0, access to YouTube, access to internet radio stations, etc.) can connect to the internet to fully utilize their capabilities via HDMI connections. In this way, the need for additional connections of devices with network cables is eliminated. At the same time, data exchange between connected devices is possible. 3D via HDMI The 1.4 specification defined the most popular 3D formats and resolutions for devices equipped with HDMI connectors. The input and output parameters for home 3D systems for double transmission of 1080p resolution were standardized. Audio Return Channel The new specification includes an Audio Return Channel (ARC) that will reduce the number of cables required for extracting audio signals from devices. Particularly useful functionality in situations when the television receives audio and video signals directly from the TV antenna. In this case, the new audio return channel allows the transmission of an audio stream to the amplifier via HDMI connection without the need for additional cable connections. Support for 4K x 2K Resolution The new specification enables devices equipped with HDMI connectors to transmit a resolution 4 times greater than 1080p, known as Quad HD. Support for 4K x 2K allowed HDMI standard to support the same resolution as many commercial digital cinemas. Supported formats include: - 3840x2160 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz - 4096x2160 24Hz Support for different color spaces HDMI technology supports color spaces dedicated to digital cameras. Through supporting standards sYCC601, Adobe RGB, and AdobeYCC601, devices equipped with HDMI can reproduce colors more accurately when connected to a digital camera. - Cable length: 5.0m
