The CLASSIC series is characterized by excellent cable manufacturing quality; high-quality materials were used in their production, and gold plating was applied to the HDMI connectors in the final stage of the manufacturing process. Continuous progress and miniaturization force manufacturers to use smaller connectors in devices while increasing their bandwidth. The 19-pin micro connector supports a resolution of 1080p and is used in photo/video solutions as well as in mobile telephony. Connector dimensions: 2.8mm x 6.4mm. HDMI allows connecting any standard-compliant audio/video devices such as DVD players, Blu-ray, game consoles, computers, monitors, and digital televisions. Video data is transmitted using TMDS technology. The most important feature of the HDMI interface developed between 2000 and 2002 is that it allows a connection between individual audio/video devices with a single cable while maintaining the highest quality of transmitted image and sound and full functionality of the used devices, significantly simplifying the wiring of the home audio/video setup. This is a huge simplification compared to the previously used connections that require a wide range of different cables.
