The calorific value of sunflower pellets is higher than that of normal wood pellets, making the sunflower shell pellets a cheaper fuel and therefore a sustainable alternative to environmentally harmful coal .
They contain only a very small proportion of residual moisture, which explains the good calorific value and burn almost completely with an ash residue of less than 5% and without problematic waste.
