Instructions for cleaning the lactation shells:
Before first use:
Place the separated parts of the shell in a small container filled with cold water. It is recommended to use distilled water. If you are using tap water, you can add a teaspoon of citric acid to avoid limescale. Bring the water to a boil and boil for about 5 minutes. Pour out the water and leave the parts on a clean cloth to dry.
After each subsequent use:
Separate the shells into parts. Place the casings and membranes in warm water with a mild dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly in cold water. Dry on a clean cloth.
Optional, in the dishwasher:
The parts are dishwasher safe. It is safest to place them on the top shelf or in a basket.
